What the program is

Not a facility. A household.

This is not a halfway house and not a clinic. There are no worker–client relationships here: the directors and leaders live in the building alongside the residents — they shower, eat and sleep there — and every one of them came through this program themselves.

The day starts at 5:30 and it is full. Classes in the morning, classes after lunch, teaching at night. New believers spend their first three months on foundations. After that, they begin leading — evangelizing on the streets, teaching, raising support for the next person coming in.

Six months, in order

What happens to a person here

01

Lead the lost to Christ

Everything else rests on this.

02

Build a foundation of sound doctrine

Fourteen lessons in the first three months — the blood of Jesus, the believer's two natures, the Holy Spirit.

03

Impart the vision

Why this Home exists, and what it is for.

04

Work on character development

Love, authority, supervision, discipline, and living above reproach.

05

Engage in spiritual disciplines

Prayer at 8:00 in the morning and 6:00 at night. Worship twice a day. Every day.

06

Establish a church connection

So that when the six months end, there is somewhere to belong.

"The day I walked through the doors, God began to steal my heart and change my whole destiny."

What a dollar does here

Victory Ministries takes no government money. Three quarters of every dollar goes straight into the Homes, and two thirds of what the ministry runs on is raised by the residents themselves.

Victory Church · River Oaks

More than a church — it's family.

Sundays at 10:00 in the morning. Wednesdays at 7:00 at night. Prayer starts thirty minutes before every service. Come as you are; most people here did.

Keep the doors open

The program is free. It is not without cost.

Give

Roughly half of everything the ministry runs on is raised by the residents themselves. The rest comes from people who will never meet them.

Volunteer

Food pantries, luncheons, holiday meals, hospital visits. The Homes serve the neighbourhood as part of the program, not as an extra.

Donate goods

Food, clothing, bedding, vehicles, building materials. In-kind gifts are a significant portion of our support.
